What Bepanthen ointment is and what it is used for
Bepanthen ointment contains dexpanthenol in the ointment base, which is easily and quickly absorbed after application. Dexpanthenol is converted in skin cells to pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which enters the composition of coenzyme A and thus significantly affects the formation and renewal of the epithelium. It stimulates cellular mitosis, contributes to the durability of collagen fibers, accelerates wound healing and alleviates inflammation.
Bepanthen ointment is extremely greasy, so after application it prevents the treated surface from coming into contact with water (or urine). Bepanthen ointment is available in a tube with a tube of 30 g or 100 g of ointment.
