1. What is aspirin migraine, and what is it used for
Each tablet contains 500 mg of acetylsalicylic acid.
Acetylsalicylic acid belongs to a group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs with analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory action.
Aspirin migraine treats acute headaches in migraine attacks with and without aura.
2. What you need to know before you take Aspirin migraine
Aspirin migraine should not be used:
– in case of known hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid and other salicylates or to any of the excipients,
– with an increased tendency to bleed,
– in case of gastric or duodenal ulcer,
– the last three months of pregnancy.
You should urgently consult your doctor about the use of Aspirin for migraine if
– you are hypersensitive to other anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-rheumatic drugs, or other allergenic substances,
– you have asthma
– you are being treated at the same time with medicines containing corticosteroids or with other painkillers or anti-inflammatory medicines,
– be treated with anticoagulants or platelet aggregation inhibitors (medicines that prevent blood clotting), medicines to lower blood sugar (if you have diabetes), medicines to eliminate uric acid, medicines to reduce water retention in the body, or with medicines to lower blood pressure,
– you have liver or kidney problems
– you have a history of gastrointestinal disease
– you are taking methotrexate, digoxin, barbiturates, lithium, valproic acid, phenytoin or sulfonamides.
Concomitant consumption of alcoholic beverages increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
If you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, you must tell your doctor.
If you are taking preparations with acetylsalicylic acid, you should consult a doctor or dentist before each surgery.
Warning: This medicine contains sodium, which may harm you if you are on a low-sodium diet.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Aspirin migraine should not be taken during the last three months of pregnancy. Talk to your doctor about using Aspirin for migraine during the first six months of pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Children
Due to the possibility of Reye’s syndrome (a rare but severe disease), medicines containing cetylsalicylic acid can only be used after prior medical consultation.
3. How to take Aspirin for migraine
Adults: Take 2 tablets as a single dose. The dose can be repeated every 4-8 hours if the attack does not subside. The maximum daily dose is 6 tablets and should not be exceeded.
Dissolve the two tablets in a glass of water and drink.
You should not take an Aspirin migraine without consulting your doctor for more than three days. If the symptoms do not go away, another form of treatment should be considered.
Talk to a doctor or pharmacist immediately if you take more than you should.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, Aspirin migraine can have side effects.
Possible side effects are stomach pain, dyspepsia, gastritis, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding that may cause anemia, stomach or duodenal ulcers, hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., attacks of shortness of breath, skin reactions), increased risk of bleeding and an increase in transaminases.

5. Storage and shelf life
Store below 25 ° C.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton.
