1. What Artelac UNO is, and what is it used for
Eye drops and Artelac UNO solution are artificial tears. The solution is clear and colorless.
1 ml of solution contains 3.20 mg of hypromellose (methylhydroxypropyl cellulose); the viscosity of the solution is between 7 and 13 mPa. The product is packed in boxes with 10, 30, 60, and 120 single-dose containers of 0.6 ml in a double strip.
Artelac UNO is used to treat corneal and conjunctival dehydration (” dry eye “) due to disturbances in the secretion and function of tears as a result of local or systemic diseases, and in the case of deficient or incomplete eyelid closure, which may manifest as eye strain, foreign body sensation. And sensitivity to light, wind, heat, and fatigue.
Artelac UNO does not contain a preservative and is, therefore, particularly suitable for patients who do not tolerate artificial tears with a preservative.
Concomitant use of Artelac UNO and other eye drops or ointments may reduce the latter’s effect as they are diluted and expelled from the conjunctival sac. Therefore, at least 15 minutes should elapse when two medicines are taken. Use eye drops, Artelac UNO solution as a last resort because it is essential for their long-lasting moisturizing effect to stay in the eye as long as possible.
2. What you need to know before you use Artelac UNO
Do not use Artelac UNO if:
– you are hypersensitive to hypromellose or any of the other ingredients.
Take special care with Artelac UNO if:
– after a few days, there is no significant improvement. In this case, see a doctor.

Effects on the ability to drive and use machines
Do not drive or use any tools or machines for at least a few minutes after injecting Artelac UNO into the conjunctival sac of the eye. Immediately after using the medicine, vision may become temporarily blurred.
Use of other drugs

recipe.
3. How to use Artelac UNO
Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
The dosage in the disease picture, “dry eye,” is tailored to the individual. Instilling one drop in the conjunctival sac 3 to 5 times daily is usually sufficient. You can instill the medicine more often if needed. “Dry eye” treatment is long-lasting or even permanent. It is also essential to have several check-ups with an ophthalmologist. These examinations are necessary to prevent developing a severe illness with appropriate treatment.
The use of the drug is not limited in time.
If you think this medicine’s effect is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Instructions for instillation
Tilt your head back. With the index finger of one hand, pull the lower eyelid down. With the other hand, hold the container vertically above the eye (without touching the eye) and instill one drop of Artelac UNO into the conjunctival sac.
Keep the eye open and move it to distribute the fluid well.

• ventilate the room thoroughly several times a day
• drink enough fluids (at least 2 liters a day)
• go for fresh air often
• do not direct the fans to the eyes
• when working behind the screen, stop work several times for a short time
• check the condition with an ophthalmologist several times.
If you forget to take Artelac UNO:
If you forget to take Artelac UNO, do so as soon as you remember.
If you take more Artelac UNO, than you should:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you take more Artelac UNO than you should. Remember to bring the container and the rest of the medicine with you.
There are no specific instructions for the treatment of Artelac UNO.
Effects when you stop taking Artelac UNO:
Initial problems may recur when you stop using Artelac UNO. Do not stop taking the medicine, even if your condition improves. Your doctor will tell you when you can stop taking the medicine.

5. How to store Artelac UNO
Do not store above 25 ° C. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton.
Artelac UNO does not contain a preservative. Therefore, do not store an open single-dose container. Discard the rest of the medicine after use.
