1. WHAT CANESTEN 3 VAGINAL CREAM IS AND WHAT IT IS FOR

WE USE

Canesten 3 vaginal cream is available in a tube tube with 20 g of vaginal cream and
3 inserts.
1 g of vaginal cream contains 20 mg of clotrimazole.
Clotrimazole, the active substance in Canesten, is a broad-spectrum imidazole derivative
antifungal action.
Clotrimazole acts on fungi by inhibiting the production of ergosterol. This results in structural and functional defects of the cytoplasmic membrane.

Canesten 3 vaginal cream is used to treat genital infections (vaginitis) caused by fungi (most commonly Candida), trichomonas, and superinfections with Canesten-sensitive bacteria. To reliably cure Trichomonas vaginalis infections, your doctor should additionally prescribe oral trichomonacid. Such combination therapy is recommended only after an accurate diagnosis.
Canesten 3 vaginal cream is also used to treat infections of the labia and the surrounding area and inflammation of the scalp and foreskin caused by yeast (candidal vulvitis and candidal balanitis).

Symptoms caused by a fungal infection of the vagina usually improve within four days of starting treatment. If the signs of infection do not disappear completely, consult a doctor.

In candidal vaginitis, three days of treatment is sufficient. If necessary, you can
repeat the treatment. In candidal vulvitis and candidal balanitis, apply the cream thinly two to three times a day to the affected areas (external genitalia to the anus in women, the head and
foreskin in men) and rub it. The usual duration of treatment is 1 to 2 weeks.
If the condition does not improve or even worsen within a few days after taking the medicine,
