What Bepanthen plus cream is and why we use it
Bepanthen plus cream is an antiseptic cream that accelerates the healing of superficial wounds and prevents infection. It contains the active substances dexpanthenol (a precursor to vltamine BS) and chlorhexidine dichloride as an antiseptic. Dexpanthenol is easily and rapidly absorbed after application and is converted to pantothenic acid (vitamin Bs) in skin cells. This enters the composition of coenzyme A and thus significantly affects the formation and renewal of the epithelium. It stimulates cellular mitosis, contributes to the durability of collagen fibers (increases the strength of scars), accelerates wound healing and alleviates inflammation. Chlorhexidine has a strong bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect on clinically important Gram-positive bacteria, thus preventing or limiting infection on the skin surface. The systemic effect of chlorhexidine is negligible due to very low absorption.
Bepanthen plus cream prevents the wounds from drying out and relieves pain with a cooling effect. It is easily lubricated and rinsed, does not grease and does not stick.
Bepanthen plus cream is available in a tube with a tube of 30 g of cream.
Therapeutic indications
– All types of superficial skin injuries in which there is a possibility of infection (abrasions, cuts, scratches, scars, mild blisters with burns, skin inflammation).
